His litigation portfolio includes corporate/company-related disputes, Intellectual Property disputes, construction disputes, land, strata, and property matters, probate and administration, trusts, debt recovery, banking and securities law, as well as medical negligence. He has also represented clients in judicial reviews and claims against various statutory authorities.
In addition to contentious work, Datuk Joy Wilson supports clients on a broad spectrum of corporate matters, including mergers & acquisitions, and the preparation and review of key transaction and corporate documentation. This includes banking, conveyance, and corporate documentation, such as building contracts, management & maintenance agreements, joint venture agreements, memoranda of deposit, partnership agreements, shareholders’ agreements, and distribution agreements.
Datuk Joy Wilson also contributes to the legal profession and public institutions through his role in disciplinary matters as counsel for the Malaysian Bar, and his representation of SUHAKAM (the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia).
