Robert Gerrard

Robert Gerrard is an Accredited Mediator registered with the UK Civil Mediation Council and trained through the London School of Mediation. He serves on mediation panels in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and New Zealand, bringing structured resolution to complex commercial disputes. His mediation expertise is further strengthened by a Master of Laws in Mediation and International Commercial Dispute Resolution from Newcastle University. Robert also acts as a Dispute Resolution Adviser and holds Senior Certified Adjudicator status with the International Dispute Resolution & Risk Management Institute. He serves as Honorary Advisor to the Hong Kong Adjudication Centre.

With 42 years’ expertise in contract management, Robert specializes in NEC frameworks, both establishing and managing these contracts globally. As Senior NEC Consultant for Thomas Telford Limited based in Hong Kong, he delivers training and consultancy worldwide. His deep institutional engagement includes serving as Secretary of the NEC Users’ Group since 2006, examining for the Institution of Civil Engineers’ Certificate in Law and Contract Management, drafting NEC4 contracts, contributing to the NEC3 working group, and holding accreditation as an NEC4 ECC Project Manager.
